Lagos, Nigeria – March is officially dedicated to Women’s History with the theme for 2017 being #BeBoldforChange. We spotlight three female entrepreneurs breaking grounds in the Nigerian beauty industry.

Leslie Okoye, the founder of CookieSkin is on a mission “to redefine the meaning of beauty amongst men and women of African descent by making holistic skincare that doesn’t perpetuate the idea that beauty is based on skin colour.”
According to Invicta Africa and SME100 Nigeria, a platform that provides small business owners with access to networks, capacity building, finance and markets presents the maiden edition of its ‘100 Most Innovative Female Owned Businesses in Nigeria’.
The 100 Most Innovative Female Owned Businesses in Nigeria list showcases and celebrates the efforts of female Nigerians who have leveraged on the digital disruption in industries, changing consumer trends and new market segments in the creation of innovative products and services that offer real value to their customers.
The list which cuts across various industries such as fashion, healthcare, agriculture, beauty and so was put together in recognition of the strategic role that the Female Economy has played over the decades in the growth and development of the nation.
The businesses featured here were selected based on their creativity, innovation, opportunities for growth and expansion, contributions to their chosen industries as well as their potentials in improving the lives of women and the girl child.
